Website Ad-ons

Adding what we call ad-ons to your website can be useful and helpful 
but you like us have most likely seen some sites that could have 
skipped some of the cutesy ad-ons.

• Clocks are probably the most common telling you the date

• Counters. Some will have how many customers are on line at one time while others simply state the visitors per day.

• Guests books.

• Music. This while cute if you took a pole most visitors can do without it.
  If you decide to have music make sure your turn the music off button is easy to find.

• Voices. If you decide to have a voice message on your site giving visitors the option to choose to click to listen to it is much better then the picture of a person who just starts talking. While we are work at home women and men our visitors usually are not and if they are surfing the net while playing
  a favorite tape this will surely annoy them!

• Pop Ups. While adding a pop up to offer your newsletter is an option think about if your visitors will like it. Allot of people add pop up blockers to their browsers to avoid the pop ups as they find them annoying

• Flash. While it is nice a flash program on the home page as an intro should have a skip it to allow visitors to get into your site instead of watching a flash into they could live without. If you have one make it informative to your website and business and not just have one to have it.

• Trailing Stars or other objects on your site. While cute if you choose to have stars or other objects trail the person mouse on your website make sure you keep it within the size that when they stop the mouse the cute objects are not blocking your page content. Cute is cute but a website that is easy to navigate around is better!
